Heuchera ‘Silver Scrolls’

5 Photos

Summary

Heuchera ‘Silver Scrolls’ has silver leaves that emerge with a tint that starts purple and fades to green. Dark veins also provide a nice contrast to the silver foliage. ‘Silver Scrolls’ was a beautiful cultivar at times, but it suffered from a lack of consistency in both habit and floral display. Too often, the plants were open and somewhat flat. They would eventually fill in with new growth, but the openness persisted for long periods of time. The floral display was also attractive but the quantity and sturdiness of the inflorescences varied from year to year. When grown in full sun, ‘Silver Scrolls’ experienced moderate discoloration, and is thus recommended for part shade – full shade conditions.
