Coreopsis integrifolia ‘Last Dance’

5 Photos

Summary

Coreopsis integrifolia is a fall blooming species, much like Coreopsis palustris. However, the large, golden flowers of C. integrifolia ‘Last Dance’ do not start blooming until October. Though able to withstand a couple of light frosts, the late bloom period does put the flowers at risk from a hard frost or freeze. However, the compact, rhizomatous habit, and late bloom period make this plant very attractive for both home and commercial landscapes. ‘Last Dance’ is one of two accessions of C. integrifolia in our trial. It was selected by Sunny Border Nurseries of Kensington, Connecticut.
