Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Domino’

3 Photos

Summary

Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Domino’ was the highest rated cultivar of C. grandiflora, but it also struggled with hardiness and disease issues. All five of the original plants failed to overwinter the first year, and the subsequent replacements suffered from downy mildew, probably caused by an exceptionally wet spring. The difficult 2013 growing season was likely a major contributor to the loss of two plants over the following winter. However, when the plants were healthy, they were prolific bloomers.
