Summary
Baptisia ‘Blue Towers’ is a large, yet relatively narrow, blue-flowered cultivar. The tall, violet-blue inflorescences are very numerous, and the individual flowers are held close together on the inflorescence, looking almost like an incredibly tall hyacinth flower. ‘Blue Towers’ is very similar to ‘Ivory Towers’, with a slender habit, at least while in flower, and leafless lower stems. These two cultivars perform very similarly, and the only reason they were separated by one tenth of a point is that ‘Blue Towers’ tends to obscure its flowers with foliage sooner than ‘Ivory Towers’, thereby limiting the amount of inflorescence that can be seen.
