Summary
Coreopsis ‘Tahitian Sunset’ is very similar to Coreopsis ‘Rum Punch’ and Coreopsis ‘Limerock Dream’, all with pinkish-orange flowers. The most notable characteristic of ‘Tahitian Sunset’ is its stronger, more upright form compared to the mounding and slightly floppy habits of ‘Rum Punch’ and ‘Limerock Dream’. Cutting some of the plants back in mid-July to rejuvenate the foliage and floral display was mildly successful. ‘Tahitian Sunset’ had a slightly longer period of bloom when cut back, but it was not enough to overcome the lost display in late July. The foliage was also slightly healthier on the cutback plants at the end of the August, but it quickly deteriorated to match the non-cutback plants.
