Coreopsis ‘Jive’

3 Photos

Summary

Coreopsis ‘Jive’ was again one of the top rated cultivars with its sturdy, upright habit and prolific floral display.  ‘Jive’ bloomed for seven weeks with flower coverage of 60% or better.  In fact, five over those weeks were at 80% coverage or better.  Like the other members of the Coloropsis™ Series, their early season of bloom was offset by the fact that they finished their display earlier than most of the other cultivars.  Because their period of ornamental display is earlier than most, cutting the plants back in mid-July was probably too late to have any effect.  ‘Jive’ also showed excellent resistance to powdery mildew.
