Mt. Cuba on Growing a Greener World

Mt. Cuba Center will be highlighted in an upcoming episode of the nationally syndicated, Emmy Award-winning television show, Growing a Greener World, broadcast on PBS.

The episode, titled “Mount Cuba Center: A Treasured Garden for Native Plants”, is scheduled to be broadcast on WHYY-TV on Wednesday, October 24 at 1:30 P.M. and will be available to stream online at the Growing a Greener World YouTube channel, here:

The episode will feature interviews with Mt. Cuba Center staff and experts about the garden’s ecologically sound gardening techniques, conservation work, and du Pont family legacy. The botanical garden’s mission, to inspire an appreciation for the beauty and value of native plants and a commitment to protect the habitats that sustain them, will be front-and-center.

Growing a Greener World is an Emmy Award-winning TV show appearing on national public television that features organic gardening, green living and farm-to-table food. Each episode is hosted by Joe Lamp’l, a Certified Landscape Professional and horticulturist who also serves as a gardening and sustainability guest expert on national morning shows including NBC’s TODAY show, ABC’s Good Morning America, and The Weather Channel among others.
