Member Tours

Go behind-the-scenes on an exclusive, member-only tour led by Mt. Cuba Center’s expert staff. Tours last approximately one hour and include walking over rolling terrain and mulched paths. New tours may be added throughout the year, so be sure to check back often. 

These tours are a benefit for Engage-level members. Engage Members can register for for up to two (2) people at the Individual Plus level, or four (4)  people at the Dual Plus level.

Space is limited to maintain a more personal experience. Advance reservations required.

Join Amy Highland, our Director of Collections and Conservation Lead, in a tour of the gardens from an acquisition perspective.  Amy will show off some of our wild collected plants in the garden while sharing the story of where they came from and the adventure it took to bring them to Mt. Cuba Center.

Take an in-depth tour at our current plant trials, with a focus on Vernonia and Solidago with Horticultural Research Manager, Sam Hoadley. Learn how trials are selected, scheduled, and conducted. Get an update on early trial results of the Carex trial and learn about the background of these amazing plants.
