AN EVENING WITH ELEGANCE QUARTET

Join us for an open-air concert with Elegance Quartet, an extraordinary ensemble whose distinctive style transcends the boundaries of the traditional string quartet. Request your favorite songs, then see and hear them performed like never before.

Complimentary light bites. Beer and wine available for purchase. Seating provided.

Go behind-the-scenes with Mt. Cuba Center’s expert staff. Tours last approximately one hour and include walking over rolling terrain and mulched paths. New tours may be added throughout the year, so be sure to check back often!

Take an in-depth tour of our Trial Garden with Mt. Cuba’s horticultural research manager, Sam Hoadley. See our current trials of Oakleaf Hydrangea, Milkweed, and Ferns while learning how trials are selected, scheduled, and conducted. Get a chance to ask your questions about how we collect pollinator data, the recently published Carex trial report, and more.

Are you curious about bird banding and its significance? Witness the process firsthand with Delaware Nature Society’s ornithologist, Ian Stewart, and Mt. Cuba Center’s conservation and research team as we band Mt. Cuba Center’s Purple Martin (Progne subis) colony. Learn about these remarkable birds as we delve into their habitat requirements, including their unique gourd homes, as well as Mt. Cuba’s ongoing research and how our data contributes to crucial conservation efforts.

Please note that, for the health and safety of the birds, members will not be able to handle or band them during the event.
