Garden Wild on July 27th

Summer is officially here. Engaging children with the outdoors can help foster a connection to nature and science while school is out of session. Botanic gardens like Mt. Cuba Center offer enriching and affordable family friendly events and activities this summer, like our annual Garden Wild event that celebrates the wonder of wildlife.

On Saturday, July 27th, Mt. Cuba Center invites visitors to take a walk on the wild side of gardening and celebrate the wonder of wildlife in Mt. Cuba’s gardens with hands-on learning activities that show how gardens are hubs of activity. Children and adults alike will have opportunities to get to know the insects, birds, and animals that call the gardens home while discovering the joy of sharing a garden with natural neighbors.

Garden Wild activities will run from 10 am to 4 pm and include a look into the underwater world of our ponds, carnivorous plant demonstrations, goat grazing, live music, food trucks, a local brewery and more. Plants for sale on site, while supplies last.

All activities are included with the cost of admission. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 17; children age 5 and under are free.
