Mt Cuba’s Trial Garden research program aims to provide gardeners and the horticulture industry with superior native plant selections for the mid-Atlantic region. Join Sam Hoadley to learn about the process of selecting which species to trial, data collection methods, the important ecosystem services the plants provide, and the history, care, and maintenance of the garden. Please bring a water bottle and any questions you have about the Trial Garden.

About the Instructor: Sam Hoadley
Sam Hoadley is the Manager of Horticultural Research at Mt. Cuba, where he evaluates native plants to determine their horticultural and ecological values. Sam received his degree in Sustainable Landscape Horticulture from the University of Vermont
