Through the month of June, we will be hosting special sessions of Story Time Sprouts! Join us for tree-themed stories, including “We Planted a Tree,” this year’s choice for Longwood Garden’s Community Read. After the read-aloud, take part in a hands-on activity to explore the different types of bark, wood, leaves, and fruit of our native trees. See and feel what makes each species unique, and create a leaf rubbing of your own to take home! This program is included with general admission.
Families are invited on Thursday mornings to listen to stories from nature-themed children’s books intended for children ages five and under. The Feel of Trees typically takes place outside in Bluey’s Woods. This program will be moved indoors in cases of inclement weather. We recommend bringing a blanket to sit on. No reservations are required.
