When selecting plants for the shadier parts of your garden, don’t overlook native woodland wildflowers. Many of these early-blooming species, from bloodroot and wild ginger to Virginia bluebells, make attractive additions to home landscapes and provide much needed food for insects emerging from winter’s dormancy.
