Pruning Trees Correctly

Pruning trees at Mt. Cuba Center.
  • This event has passed.

This program takes place in-person Saturday, June 12 (Rain Date: Saturday, June 19)

Trees growing naturally assume the shape that makes the best use of light in a given location and climate. Pruning should mimic that process and improve the vigor, appearance, and value of trees. Scott Kelley and Bill Trescott, Mt. Cuba Center’s ISA Certified Arborists®, demonstrate proper, professional pruning techniques followed by a tour explaining how to make wise pruning and tree care decisions. Leave with a pruning plan for keeping your trees healthy and looking great. (Class size is limited.)
