This class explores weather, changing climate, and the potential impacts on our plants and ecosystems. Participants will increase their understanding of the differences between weather and climate, learn about past climate trends and projections for the future, become familiar with how climate change is impacting our natural systems, and become aware of adaptation and mitigation strategies. Bring a phone or tablet for a more immersive experience.

About the Instructor:
Jennifer Volk is an Environmental Quality Extension Specialist with University of Delaware Cooperative Extension. Jennifer received both her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and graduate degree in Marine Studies from the University of Delaware. At UD, Jennifer works on environmental issues in Delaware and the region such as water quality management and climate change impacts and responses.
