Glenstone, a contemporary art museum in Montgomery County, Maryland, manages its nearly 300-acre campus without using synthetic herbicides in order to maintain a healthy environment for its visitors and native wildlife. Matt Partain, Grounds Superintendent, presents a behind-the-scenes look at this acclaimed property and discusses what it takes to create and organically manage a large-scale native plant site.
About the Instructor:
Matt Partain is the Grounds Superintendent at Glenstone, a contemporary art museum in Potomac, MD. He has a BS in Landscape Management from the University of Georgia, previously served as the Grounds Manager at Berea College in Berea, KY, and was a Grounds Team Leader at both The Biltmore Company and Walt Disney World.
