Volunteers

Mt. Cuba Center’s friendly and enthusiastic volunteers support our programs across the organization and help us demonstrate the beauty and value of native plants and ecosystems. Our volunteers provide assistance throughout the organization, from hands-on garden work to aiding education classes, to back-office help.

Mt. Cuba Center is committed to providing remarkable experiences to our guests, staff and volunteers – in the gardens, as well as through classes, public programs and more. Volunteer opportunities will be posted to this page.

We are looking for Volunteer ambassadors to support our 2020 visitation season. Volunteer ambassadors help deliver remarkable experiences to our guests by roaming our lush formal and naturalistic gardens to welcome and casually engage guests, as well as provide wayfinding and general assistance.

Ambassadors commit to one or two 4.5-hour shifts per month, Wednesdays through Sundays, during our April to November visitation season. Weekend shifts and occasional opportunities to volunteer for special events are available and encouraged.

Training is provided, and volunteers receive many perks and privileges, including free admission to the gardens. Bilingual applicants encouraged.
