Technology Support Coordinator – Part Time

The Technology Support Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to the organization through various technology services. This position asssists the Technology Services team with basic first line troubleshooting, vendor management, purchasing, reporting, accounting and asset management. This position is responsible for creating and publishing how-to support documentation and emergency communications on a wide range of service offerings throughout the comany. As a versatile team member in an ever changing discipline, the Coordinator will be assigned various Technology Services tasks as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Act as first point of contact for technology support requests throughout the organization. Field requests for service via phone, email, and in person and determines nature and extent of support needed.  Utilizes basic troubleshooting and analytical skills to escalate the request to the appropriate person
  •  Assist with Conference room A/V
  • Call vendors, pay invoices, track assets, and create a wide variety of reports
  • Perform many administrative tasks on behalf of the tech services department including, but not limited to, ordering and keeping accurate inventory of; supplies, computers, printers, radios, peripherals
  • Schedules conference rooms and organizes meetings with vendors
  • Manage the Technology Services Intranet page, create email blasts, service alert communications and How-To guides
  • Provide knowledge and guidance to support guest and organizational initiatives related to profession

Education / years & type of experience: Associates Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business administration or related field and 1 year of relevant experience; a valid driver’s in good standing is required

Baseline Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Power user of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting process for software, hardware, networking, passwords, and accessories; knows when to escalate issues
  • Exemplary technology communication and administration skills.  This includes filing, asset management, vendor management, reporting and writing
  • Advanced understanding of how to maintain, manage and update web (intranet) based information
  • Strong communications, analytical,  and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with staff, vendors, and the public
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various software and technology programs to complete work duties
  • Willingness to call vendors via phone until issue is resolved
  • Basic accounting skills, including paying invoices and applying payments to budget lines
  • Self-motivated, organized, attentive to details, and the ability to manage time and effectively function without close supervision
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events as needed

Physical Requirements: Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Limited physical work is also required including frequent standing for extended periods of time, walking up and down hills and on uneven terrain, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds.

FLSA Designation: Non-exempt

Please note this is a part time, non-exempt position working no more than 1,560 hours per year with an average of 15-20 hours per week.
