The Grounds & Plant Health Care Specialist assists in the overall maintenance of Mt. Cuba Center’s landscape, including woody and herbaceous plantings, lawns, woods, garden features, paths, and roadways. They provide logistical support to other departments as needed to ensure the smooth operation of Mt. Cuba Center. They use specialized knowledge in plant health care techniques to serve as point person for all plant health issues.
Learn MoreThe Senior Horticulturist is responsible for developing and maintaining creative planting displays of the living collection within the gardens. They demonstrate expertise in fine gardening techniques and lead the successful care of the assigned Garden area. This is a unique role within our gardens team as this individual oversees the woods path, Trillium garden, fall border, west slope path and other naturalistic style gardens beloved by our founders. The ideal candidate can demonstrate knowledge of woodland ephemerals and ecological gardening practices.
