Monarda ‘Colrain Red’

7 Photos

Summary

Monarda ‘Colrain Red’ is one of the top-performing cultivars from the trial. It looks similar to both ‘Judith’s Fancy Fuchsia’ and ‘Raspberry Wine’. ‘Colrain Red’ is a relatively tall cultivar with a prolific floral display and fair powdery mildew resistance that typically consisted of mild, but long-lasting infections. The real complaint about this selection is the amount of lower foliage that it typically loses. However, the upper portion of ‘Colrain Red’ does remain full and lush so that it still appears dense when viewed from the top.
